Lieser Family Vacation
This year we met up with Jared's family in Galveston, TX for vacation. We stayed at a motel right across from the beach, it was great. We spent most of our time at the beach but also drove into Houston to go to NASA. The girls were not to thrilled with the beach at first. They did not like the waves and didn't like all the sand. The second day Grammie and Aunt Megan took them looking for shells on the beach and they totally changed their tune. Claire collected a bucket full of shells and enjoyed looking for them. They spent most of their time where the water would barely go over them and would dig in the sand. The girls really liked the hotel pool, of course. They liked that it had lion heads that spit water out of their mouths into the water. Not real lions...that would be dangerous! The girls wore their life vests in the pool and surprised me by trusting them and were swimming around on their own. By the end the girls were jumping off the side by themselves. I think they were watching their older cousins and wanted to do what they did. It was close enough that it was a doable drive for a short vacation. I hope we do it again but maybe stay a little longer. This was my kind of vacation. I love the beach and the warm weather and warm water. It may have not been the prettiest of water or beach but to me it was perfect.
Frills and Mud
The girls love to wear dresses or skirts every day. I can rarely get them to wear shorts. They also love to play in the dirt or mud as well. Claire will get dirty then want to be cleaned off and then she is back out there playing again. Quinn can handle the dirt on her a little longer. There is just something about little girls in pretty dresses playing in the dirt...too cute!
Girly Giggles
A couple of weeks ago the girly giggles and squeals were doubled at our house! The girls' cousins Micah and Meleah came to stay with us for a few days. We had so much fun! We went to the park, had Josh's sno cones, splash pad, shopping, went on a Blue Bell ice cream tour, and then my mom was here the last day and took us to see the movie Brave. My girls were having the time of their lives! I think they would love if family visited us more often because then we do super fun things.

FRIENDS
The girls and myself have great friends within the Jang family. They were our very first playdate back when Quinn and Jaycen were infants. It has been so fun watching the kids grow over the past couple of years. The girls get so excited when they know they will be seeing Alex and Jaycen and they cry when we have to leave them. When they are parting ways you will almost aways here these exact words while crying and waving. "Bye Alex, Bye Jaycen, Love you!!!!!!" The boys are the same. The Jangs will be moving to New York soon and I have to say I am a little (maybe more than a little) sad about that, for selfish reasons of course. Not only do the girls have a friendship with the boys but I have a friendship with Desiree. I have not told the girls they are moving and not sure how I am going to. The Jangs are still trying to sell their house so I figure I will wait until that happens. (Praying they sell it soon) I am so happy for their family and for what God has in store for their lives!! We have been blessed by them and I know our families will be lifetime friends.
