Don't you just want to eat her up? Dirty face and all!!

Thankful Saturday

Last year I started do a Thankful Thursday post for the month of November. I am already behind this year...hence thankful Saturday.
I am so thankful for my husband, Jared. He has waited on me hand and foot since yesterday after getting my wisdom teeth pulled. He has been making sure I take my medicine on time and that I rinse my mouth out when I am supposed to. He even gets the salt water ready for me!
He made sure the girls let me sleep in this morning. He has taken care of the girls and has been playing outside with them most of the afternoon. He will admit that if anything ever happens to me that the girls will be dressed like him because he doesn't know what to do with them. For instance today they went out in jeans, a t-shirt, and a ball cap over their unbrushed hair. It made me laugh and it makes me love him even more!
He has made my lunch and has picked up for me. I have to admit it is hard to let him do things for me when I am so used to doing things for him and the girls. Who am I kidding...too bad I don't have any more wisdom teeth that need removing because I could get used to this! Don't tell Jared I said that.
Seriously, I am blessed that he is mine and I am so thankful for him everyday not just today.

None the Wiser

Yesterday I had two of my wisdom teeth taken out. You can probably tell by how many blog post entries I have made today that I am holed up in the house on this beautiful day.
It actually went very well and I have been feeling good. I am very glad I decided to take the sedation pill. At the beginning of the week I was going to man up. Haha! As it got closer Jared suggested I take it and I whole heartedly agreed. I am pretty sure I slept through most of the procedure and had to have Jared tell me how the rest of the day went because I don't remember any of it. In fact, while I thought I was sleeping and Jared was getting my medication I guess I called him 5 times and called my mom and called a random number!! I don't remember any of this!!! I didn't believe Jared at first when he said I would call asking if he was home yet and telling him I was in pain and needed more medicine. I had to check my call log and my phone and sure enough it was true. I thought I was sleeping during that time! It is no wonder people do crazy things when they are drugged up. I hate that feeling...no control. I am just glad that Jared wasn't gone long and was home to take care of me.
Other than yesterdays wackiness I am fine today. I have kept up on ibuprofen so I haven't felt much pain, I opted not to get the Lortab because it makes me nauseous. I do feel like I am starving though...I am too scared to open my mouth very wide so I have only had oatmeal and ramen noodles since last night. What I would give for a hamburger!

Flowers that the girls and Jared got for me yesterday. It doesn't matter that I don't remember them giving to me. :) Love my family!

Family Pictures 2012

On Tuesday it was such a beautiful day and it was a warm day so as soon as Jared got home from work I told him we were off to take family pictures. I am sure he loves it when I do that but he was a very good sport. We got dressed and packed a sack dinner. Peanut butter sandwiches for lunch and dinner should not be allowed but hey it was all I had. Anyway, we went to a new park that my friend Candice introduced me to and I love it! It is beautiful and I hope to take a have a few family sessions there soon.
I brought the tripod and would run back and forth from the camera. The girls thought it is fun at first but then it started taking too long and they were done taking pictures real quick. I did get a few good ones and would like to share.
LOVE MY LIESER FAMILY!!

Halloween 2012

This year I asked the girls what they wanted to be for Halloween. Last year I suggested Claire be Tinker Bell and she loved the idea. Quinn has not had a choice until this year either.

Claire right away said she wanted to be a doctor. I was relieved because that is pretty easy. I bought a pair of scrubs online and handkerchief (for her scrub hat) and we were set. We already had a toy doctor kit that had a stethoscope and other doctor tools... that I don't know the name of and am very glad Claire hasn't asked what they are called.

The girls have been playing buyer/seller together. When my sister and I were kids we called it Wal-Mart. One of the girls would go around the house and pick out things to buy and bring it to the other and that one would ring everything up and collect the money. Quinn gets confused sometimes as to which is the seller and the buyer. When I asked her what she wanted to be for Halloween she said she wanted to be a buyer. So I asked if that meant she wanted to be a shopper and she said no she wanted to be the one that went beep at Target. So....Quinn went as a Target Employee. Another easy costume. All I did was make the name tag and we borrowed the walkie talkie. I think the walkie talkie made the outfit even cuter.

Cutest Target worker ever!
We had lots of Halloween fun this year. We went to First Baptist Jenks Fall Festival on Sunday night. The girls played games and jumped in a bounce house and of course brought home candy. Then on Halloween morning we had a MOPS play date party and everyone dressed up. It was so fun and the girls got to play games and do crafts.
Mommy was a cowgirl.

Quinn made the bat and Claire made the owl at our MOPS party.
Then Halloween night we went to a nearby neighborhood and did a little trick-or-treating. It has been fun eating the girls' candy!

I had the privilege of taking family pictures for a friend of mine. I am still scheduling for fall pictures if anyone is interested.
Here are a few of my favorites from that session.

Lieser work day

Every year once fall begins we get together at Jared's parents house and we have a work day. This year the boys helped cut down trees and make firewood and the girls did yard work. I helped watch the kids and Aunt Flavia brought paint to paint pumpkins. The girls love their cousins and it makes work days fun watching them play together.

Favorite Dress

Quinn's dress from Easter this year quickly became her favorite dress. I think it has to do with the fact that it has flowers, has tulle, and twirls like none other. She calls it her church dress because at first I only let her wear it to church. She asked to wear it every day so finally I gave in and you know what...she wore that dress out this summer. She would wear it at least twice a week and one week she wore it five out of seven days!! So many pictures are taken of her in that dress. I was very happy to pack away summer clothes and bring out winter just so she wouldn't wear it anymore. So this was the last day she was able to wear it and I felt like we needed to document it since it was so important to her. She is precious in it.

P.S. She has now found a winter skirt that she asks to wear every day. Stinker!
