Family Fun

Jared would like for our family to be a camping family...tent and all. So we went to Keystone Lake for the afternoon just to see how it would be for a few hours hiking, playing, and grilling hot dogs. The girls loved it! I am not surprised because if we do anything outside they are happy. We hiked and the girls helped me look for rocks, sticks, flowers, and leaves that I needed for a craft project for church. We then played at the park. The girls are big into swinging and sliding. They scare me when they go up the slides but they have no fear. We then cooked hot dogs and smores. I think Jared thinks we can totally camp out but after I visited the restroom I told him we can camp overnight anytime as long as it is in a camper with a working bathroom! We better start saving our money.

Zoo Playdate with MOPS

I am convinced that I can only go to the zoo when it is hot...happens every time. We had fun in spite of the heat with our friends from MOPS. Claire wanted to see a giraffe and Quinn wanted to see a hippopotamus. We did see giraffes but no hippos at the Tulsa zoo, we will have to go to OKC for Quinn to see them. Claire's favorite was the giraffe, naturally, and Quinn's was the elephants. Fun times, we hope to go again this year but maybe we will wait until fall.

Models

I have been having the best time with my new camera. The girls, mainly Claire, are really into posing right now. I love it! Here are a few pictures I took a few weeks ago. (on auto)

Tulsa Drillers

Tuesday night we went to a Tulsa Drillers game against the Corpus Christie Hooks. We had such a good time plus it was $2.00 Tuesday so it only cost us $4.00 to get into the game, we had to sit on the lawn. The lawn was great though for the girls. They loved being able to run around and play at the playground that is right next to where we sat. Once it gets hotter they now have a nice splash pad type place right by the lawn as well.

While the pitchers were warming up out in right field Jared took the girls to the railing to get a closer look and to watch them. The girls thought this was "pretty cool". When the pitcher for the Drillers, Edwar Cabrera, was done warming up he walked over to Quinn and asked if she wanted the ball. She was so excited to get a ball even though I think she was a little confused at first as to why he gave it to her. She is pretty proud of her ball and has it in a special place in her room.

Claire has been wanting a ball cap because her daddy has one. Jared bought her a pink Drillers hat and she is elated! She loves her ball hat. She was very concerned that Quinn didn't get one too so we are on the lookout for a hat for Quinn now.

Quinn's Daddy Daughter Date

This past Saturday Quinn got to go on her first daddy/daughter date to IHOP. Jared has taken Claire a few times and the last time he did Quinn was heartbroken because she didn't get to go.

She was so excited to go this time. I wish I could explain her excitement. Jared said he offered to get her chocolate chip pancakes but she just wanted regular ones with pink and blue syrup. (Strawberry and blueberry) Jared said she ate all of her bacon and most of his, can you blame her?  She had fun coloring while waiting for their food. Now when we pass by IHOP both girls talk about the pancakes and daddy.

Artists in training.

Since we are now hanging the girls artwork in their rooms they have been asking to paint. It was nice out so we had a painting workshop outside. It was beautiful and so much fun.
